Say it’s done

One of the problems with a high amount of work in progress is the high cognitive load it places on people who have to keep a lot of information in their heads. We can reduce this load by making it clear when work is finished.

So, when it’s done, say it’s done. Tell everyone who needs to know. Tell them they don’t need to think about it anymore. Don’t leave any lingering doubt. Reduce the WIP in people’s heads.
