Maybe it’s too easy to get planning and sensemaking mixed up. Maybe we call things planning when really they are sensemaking, and maybe we use sensemaking when really we need to be planning.

Work complexity

Every piece of work a team undertakes has an inherent amount of complexity. The team can choose how and who should deal with it, but not recognising it will cause problems later.

More than outputs and outcomes

Can’t help thinking that if you’re only talking about outputs and outcomes and not also about inputs, activities and impacts, then you aren’t thinking through the whole of the work.
