Cooperation vs. Coordination
Cooperation is an emergent social phenomenon, bottom-up. Coordination is an imposed managerial construct, top-down. Both are present and necessary within an organisation. Managerial thinking and practice often that only recognises the latter misses out on a sphere of influence that occurs from organic social interactions.
