Strategy as a decision-making tool
A strategy is:
a plan of action designed to achieve a long-term or overall aim
I disagree. I think that’s an outdated view of what a strategy is.
In the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous modern world, strategy should serve more as a decision-making tool for facing situations that weren’t predictable when the strategy was created. Any strategy that serves only as a plan of action, a to do list, is limited to what was known at the time.
