Change thinking limitations
Maybe one of the problematic mental models that goes along with change management is the idea that there is only one unsatisfactory current state and only one ideal satisfactory state to get to. Recognising that there are many unsatisfactory states, different, better and worse than the current state, and that there are many satisfactory states that could be brought about, opens up wider possibilities for change and reduces the amount of forced control required to get to something satisfactory.
